Licklider begat the Network Working Group, begat the IETF, begat the world of Collaborative Open-Source Development, begat various consortia, crowdsourcing initiatives, grand challenges, and now Distributed Autonomous Organizations. Crisis Response & Community Redevelopment have become worlds of voluntary response.
